{ Female Fail }

Ladies, it's your turn. As women, we have a lot more fashion choices than men. If you are not careful you can make the wrong one. Rule of thumb: just because you've seen it on someone else does not mean it will look good on you.

The ruched, leopard, bodycon dress. Bodycon stands for 'body conscious', if you are not conscious that you have a bad body you have defeated the purpose.

The power of Christ compels you.

There is no better way to look trashy than to hack off your brows.

For the last time, THIS LOOKS STUPID.

 BACKRACK.

I love leggings as much as the next girl, they are quick and comfortable, just make sure you test their opacity before wearing them out.

{ Summer Playlist }

 I am an incessant list-maker, I can't decide if it is a strength or a downfall.  I list what I eat, my workouts, regimens, finances, gratitudes, goals, ideas, and the ever famous to-do lists seem to stack up on my desk to the point of inconvenience.  Yesterday I caught myself intermixing lists (which is a big no-no for perfectionist Virgos like myself).  On the edge of random post its, napkins, and notebook pages I found I had scribbled down artists and songs that I've been meaning to download.  Once I got all the chicken scratch compiled to one list I realized I had inadvertently created an excellent summer playlist.

Me - Dev
Push It - Jessie & The Toy Boys
I'm Still Hot - Luciana
Boys & Girls - Martin Solveig Ft. Dragonette
Barbra Streisand - Duck Sauce
Club Love - The Cataracs
Three Little Words - Frankmusik
Hang With Me - Robyn
I'll Get You- Classixx
Rill Rill - Sleigh Bells
Caesar - I Blame Coco
Lights - Ellie Goulding
Hot Mess - Chromeo

For viewing purposes I am including some photos of my favorite summer memories =)

{ James and I at the zoo }

{ the most successful trip to my summer house }

{ Megan holding the sun }

{ Jessica, James and I enjoying Starbucks in CWE }

{ FroYo with Maria }

{ free bike - restoration in the works! }

{ User Error }

I am proud to say I created a pretty cool photo collage on InDesign to share with my readers. I am not so proud to admit that it took entirely too long to create said collage, and I now cannot figure out how to post it. I am confident that I will have this problem figure out by tomorrow ( * fingers crossed * ).

{ Male Fail }

Ok, I like to keep my posts as positive and carefree as possible, but let's face it- this is the real world.  There are a few things I would like to address regarding men's fashion. I don't want to say that men don't know what they are doing because some of my best dressed friends are male but I will say a few of them/you seem a bit lost.

Like this for instance, if you are wearing this tee shirt out and are NOT mistaken for 'The Situation' - congratulations, you just won the Gold Medal in the douschelympics.

Oh hey ladybutt, nice jeans...

These hats are perfectly acceptable... IN THE WINTER.

Ahhh the chinstrap beard, this 'ninja' of the facial hair world can certainly sneak up on a girl, right before it screams in her face 'I'm trying to camouflage my double chin! ! '.  Too bad all that beer drinking you do doesn't create a better jawline.

I do not want to see your butt

Unf*ckable.

Stop. it.

{ Prabal Gurung for J.Crew }

My sunday night tradition consists of cafe au lait, redbox movies, and look books. This week I discovered this look book on Fashion Gone Rogue and let me just say:
Prabal Gurung + J.Crew = a match made in editorial (and shopping!) heaven!

{ Rapture Schmapture }

{ Berkeley = mischief }

{ Trying to catch some rays }

{ Cerveza }

{ The enormous tree in the neighbor's yard is finally green! }

( Backyard = amazing }

Rapture? I don't know about you but today's weather was proof enough for me that God is smiling down on us.  What better way to relax from the stressors of the work week than to spend a little time in nature? While the rest of the world is waiting for the beginning of the end I am basking in the present.

{ Nice Buns }

{ SJP's beehive version }

Let's face it, we always want what we can't have, when we have long hair we want short hair and vice versa.  I have been dealing with this problem ever since my hair reached shoulder length. Lately my main complaint has been that my hair is all one length and I 'can't' do anything with it.  After flipping through countless magazines I have come to the conclusion that scissors are not the answer to my hair woes. Instead, I am choosing this style that I became completely infatuated with after seeing it on SATC.

{ Hilary's low key version }

{ Thandie's high fashion version }

Before I go one, I am NOT a skilled hairstylist (so you have an idea of how easy this actually is)!

I love that it's relaxed, polished and it's OUT OF MY FACE!
Yee.

{ Wine-Ohh }

Winery season is upon us and so comes the search for the perfect dress.  As all my significant birthdays are passed, the only occasions I can use to justify my shopping addiction are long days at the winery with friends. On one hand, I love the idea of a short dress with sleeves, it feels really 60's and shows off what I consider my best feature (the gams). But, on the other hand, 50's inspired brightly colored tulip dresses are ultra girly and reminiscent of my idol (Barbie, duh). I found all of these dresses on Zara's website, and am now obsessed! How will I choose?
