{ Like a Lost Boy }

 I have a knack for not being able to organize my thoughts or ideas.  That being said, I've come to terms with the fact that my surroundings will always be overly whimsy and childlike. It's who I am. Accept me.

These photos prove I'm not alone.

{ DON'T Cha }

Take a gander at this sex-monster I encountered on a routine night out. I had NO IDEA that the Pussycat Dolls were on a midwestern bar tour.  I can't decide what the best part of this ensemble is- because it was all too good to be true. Nothing says international pop star like booty shorts, red pumps, red stretch belt, gingham corset and black fedora.  The icing on the cake was the 'bonnebell' roll-on body glitter and hoop earrings. Don't cha wish yo' girlfriend was hot.like.her?

{ Set A/W 2011 Lookbook }

German born label Set is all about 'utilitarian cool' this Autumn/Winter.  I'm in love with the marriage of deep hues and classic prints. I'm especially obsessed with the toggle coat in the third photo! I'm stoked for fall already!!

{ Bag Lady }

Went for a little retail therapy today after work and found myself in a predicament. Trying to choose between these two bags was literally making my heart hurt. I got to the register only to find out that they were miss marked and actually on promotion (yee), so I snagged the orange as well as the blue.  After scoping the Zara leather shoppers for months I decided that the longer strap, vinyl composition and colors were more fun (and not to mention loads cheaper) at Loft. Obsessed.

{ Silver Dollar }

After months of using the same three nail colors over and over I've hopped on the metallic bandwagon.
This Revlon polish is called 'Silver Dollar' and only cost about 4$.  One coat gives you random silver sparkles and three coats gives you a solid silver with subtle sparkles. I'm in love.

{ DFWT }

It's time for another installment of 'Don't F**king Wear That'.
I consider myself a shepherd in a flock of poorly dressed sheep.

Ahh stud belts, taking me back to the good old days when I listened to punk music and my favorite word was 'antidisestablishmentarianism'.  There are better looking ways to keep your pants up won't scream 'I have to be home by the time the street lights come on.'
P.s. I found this image on a website called 'bling cheese'-nuff said.

The Disney Channel called... they want their wardrobe back.
If you think the dress is short enough that you need to slap leggings on underneath, save yourself the money and invest in a clue.

Whoever told you that a striped polo with plaid shorts looked good was trying to make you look stupid- and it worked. I'm sure if you were victimized by this look you probably have a huge legal case against American Eagle. Pain and suffering?

Yes, your butt does look big in those jeans. And not the good 'Kim Kardashian' kind of big, the bad 'put down the fork' kind of big.
Need.Pockets.

If you date this guy, you can bet three things will happen. First, he will take longer than you to get ready. Second, he will have a boyfriend on the side. Third, he won't share his CHI with you.

The first time I saw these shoes I screamed. Call me crazy, but foot gloves are terr-i-fying. If you are using them to run or for some sort of sport, more power to you, but at the mall with your dockers and polo? Um... no. These are about as alluring as the ultra-sexy sketchers shapeups.

The most difficult clients I ever work with are what I call 'cardigals'. These women must have a cardigan to wear with EVERYTHING, even if it very clearly looks stupid. 'Cardigals' are automatically drawn to sleeveless tops and dresses because deep in their subconscious they want to make my brain implode. Cardigans ARE a staple, they do not however go with every outfit.

{ Act Your Age }

My job is all about working with people. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a woman say, “I can’t wear that, I am too old to wear something like that”. UMM hello! Ladies! Have you ever heard of something called a demographic?  Most stores design their products for a wide demographic that could literally span from 23-50! That doesn’t mean if you are fifty you should raid your 23 year old daughter’s closet it simply means you could take a piece and style it in a way that is relevant to your age. It is never what you wear it is always HOW you wear it.  It is as if there is some ‘over thirty’ newsletter that gets mailed out on your birthday including guidelines like  ‘don’t show your arms, even if it’s sweltering’, ‘you can’t wear shorts’, and ‘high heels? Fughettaboutit’. Don’t confuse old with fat, and age with insecurity. “I’m too big to wear this, but I’ll just say it’s because I’m too old that way I’ll shame other women into covering themselves too.” It is what it is. If you don’t want to show your arms because your batwings are O.O.C. then own it, but don’t use age as a crutch.  Or here’s an idea, take care of your body and skip the entire headache.

{ Fall Back }

{ Alice + Olivia }

{ Emilio Pucci }

{ DvF }

{ The Row }

{ Etro }

{ Lela Rose }

{ Band of Outsiders }
I have finally found time to check out the Fall 2011 collections. I know, I know,  I am beyond late!!  Sometimes I like putting off looking at fall collections because it makes me depressed to think of summer ending. This year I can honestly say that I am excited to welcome the fall season.  While the seasons won't change for quite awhile I am eager to begin wearing layers again.  Now that I have perused what the runways have to offer, I picked a few of my favorites for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
