{ Brownies Sans Guilt }

{ you will need }

{ combine all ingredients excluding honey & cocoa }

{ organic vanilla extract }

{ apple sauce replaces cane sugar }

{ 2/3 Cup warm honey + 1/3 Cocoa }

{ combine }

{ stir }

{ mix with other ingredients }

{ grease pan }

{ final product }
I won't lie to you, diet food NEVER tastes the same as the good 'ol fattening stuff.  Organic brownies don't at all taste like traditional brownies- but that doesn't mean they don't taste good =). I am absolutely in love with this recipe because the cane sugar is replaced with honey and applesauce (which makes them super moist, and yummy). Each brownie only has about 77 (happy) calories. The original recipe is from the Jillian Michaels cook book, but being the control freak I am, have tweaked it a bit.

Recipe:
2/3 cup Honey
1/3 cup Powdered Unsweetened Cocoa
2/3 cup Flour
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Egg
1 tsp Organic Vanilla Extract
1/2 Applesauce

p.s. brownies + cafe au lait = guilt free snack =)

{Retro Revisited}

Last night I relaxed in front of my EXTREMELY worn out copy of "Sabrina", starring Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart (who, I might add, was a fox).
The boat scene is my favorite, hands down, and if you haven't seen it- put it on your to-do list.
I put a picture of Audrey's 'boat scene' outfit above to thoroughly convey why I love this movie and also recreated it as best as I could with some items via TopShop.

{ Rough Illustrations, By: Me! }

If I had to pick my biggest challenge in design, it would be organizing my thoughts.  I like a little bit of everything all at once. Here are a few ideas I am playing with.

{I love this refurb mirror from Anthropolgie!}

{Sophia Sofa from Z Gallerie, super 60's!}

{ Framboise }

{Mercury Lamps from Crate and Barrel = obsessed}

{ Hep Green }

{ Lace door handle from Anthropolgie }

 I can't help but count my chickens before they hatch so with the prospects of a new job in the air, I have been doing a little apartment hunting.  I have yet to find something affordable that doesn't scream 'COMPLEX'. While I continue my search I see no harm in compiling a few decor ideas to keep myself inspired.

{Trending: Deep Green Nails}

{ Black Pearl }

{ Emerald City }

{ Emerald Fitzgerald }

{ Sew Psyched }

Spring and summer have always been my favorite seasons because they give me an excuse to dress super girly, eat tons of fresh produce and get wretchedly tan =)!  I also love the marriage of pastels and florals that universally deck out SS runway collections and cosmetics. This week my trip to the drugstore took me in an unexpected direction, back to black (well, green). With several choices (which I plan to try all of) I settled on Revlon's Emerald City to start.
The verdict on deep green nails? Mama like.

{Short Lived}

(H&M tank, ? Sweater, Loft shorts, Loft belt, Banana Republic Bracelet, Nixon watch)

( Loft Tiered Anorak)

Last week, in the midst of all the crazy natural disasters, I purchased these shorts from my job. About two days later, after having not yet worn them, I began to wonder if they were an emotional purchase or if I really loved them. Today after much experimentation (most undocumented) I have decided that they are indeed necessary to my wardrobe. Above are some of the ways I plan to wear them.

p.s. dear sister, you left this sweater at the house, it will be here when you want to come get it... =)
