{ Rough Illustrations, By: Me! }

If I had to pick my biggest challenge in design, it would be organizing my thoughts.  I like a little bit of everything all at once. Here are a few ideas I am playing with.

{Movin' On Up}

{I love this refurb mirror from Anthropolgie!}

{ Gladiola }

{Berber looped carpet}

{ Minted }

{Sophia Sofa from Z Gallerie, super 60's!}

{ Framboise }

{Mercury Lamps from Crate and Barrel = obsessed}

{ Hep Green }

{ Lace door handle from Anthropolgie }

 I can't help but count my chickens before they hatch so with the prospects of a new job in the air, I have been doing a little apartment hunting.  I have yet to find something affordable that doesn't scream 'COMPLEX'. While I continue my search I see no harm in compiling a few decor ideas to keep myself inspired.

{Trending: Deep Green Nails}

{ Black Pearl }

{ Emerald City }

{ Emerald Fitzgerald }

{ Sew Psyched }

Spring and summer have always been my favorite seasons because they give me an excuse to dress super girly, eat tons of fresh produce and get wretchedly tan =)!  I also love the marriage of pastels and florals that universally deck out SS runway collections and cosmetics. This week my trip to the drugstore took me in an unexpected direction, back to black (well, green). With several choices (which I plan to try all of) I settled on Revlon's Emerald City to start.
The verdict on deep green nails? Mama like.

{Short Lived}

(H&M tank, ? Sweater, Loft shorts, Loft belt, Banana Republic Bracelet, Nixon watch)

( Loft Tiered Anorak)

Last week, in the midst of all the crazy natural disasters, I purchased these shorts from my job. About two days later, after having not yet worn them, I began to wonder if they were an emotional purchase or if I really loved them. Today after much experimentation (most undocumented) I have decided that they are indeed necessary to my wardrobe. Above are some of the ways I plan to wear them.

p.s. dear sister, you left this sweater at the house, it will be here when you want to come get it... =)

{Wear This, Not That}

{ Sunnies -  The Row }

{ Top - Phillip Lim }

{ Trousers - Milly }

{ Cuff - Lanvin }

{ Platforms - Marc Jacobs }
Last night I attended a student showcase fashion show. Firstly- I had an excellent time and saw some killer collections. Secondly- I realized that people simply DO NOT know how to dress for a fashion show. Believe it or not there are ground rules.
Rule 1: A fashion show is to showcase the designer's work-not the attendees, while you should look your best, you should not be a distraction.
Rule 2: Make sure whatever you wear is properly pressed.
Rule 3: A fashion show is NOTHING like the prom, so wearing a ball gown=OVERKILL.
Rule 4: Ball caps, jeans, tee-shirts, hoodies, sneakers...? Should I even have to finish this sentence? Not.Okay.
Rule 5: Dress like yourself. Everyone knows you aren't a character from Sex and The City so no matter how many cosmos you pre-game- you aren't fooling anyone.
It's all pretty simple.
After all the wardrobe confusion I witnessed at last night's event I assembled the idiot proof fashion show outfit shown above.

{Bargain Bender}

(Asos dress)

As I have mentioned before- I have a shopping addiction, let's just say I went on a bit of a 'bender' this weekend. This dress felt soooo Diana Ross/disco I couldn't resist. The best part? I payed UNDER $15 for it.

{Debt Averted}

(Loft blouse, Vintage pants, Nixon Time Teller P watch, Loft camel boots)

 I have been DYING to mimic DVF SS2011 but haven't had a chance to go splurge on this season's brights.  Today I decided rather than give in to my shopping addiction, I would spend some time shopping my own closet. While pulling through my wardrobe I rediscovered some pieces I completely forgot I owned (like these poppy pink pants!). I do however still plan on acquiring some new items. On the list? Yellows, oranges, limes, purples...the works!!
